I am so proud of our Town and Community for the Support shown to the Steve Tucker family during the time of their loss. Our community has lost a true officer and friend. Steve was with our Police Department for 37 years. His dedication and his service to the Town was very special. He was truly our Andy Griffith. He will be missed.

Senator Randy Price and Representative Bob Fincher are presenting a resolution to the House and Senate next week for a sign to be placed on Highway 46 in Ranburne honoring Steve. It will be the Chief Steve Tucker Drive.

I have appointed Ian Taylor as Interim Police Chief. We have been blessed with help from our neighboring Police agencies filling in to help.

The State Highway Department is still assessing the school traffic situation.

We also have the promise of some new businesses coming into Ranburne.

The East Alabama Planning Commission is working with the Town on a possible Community Center and a Comprehensive Plan for the Town.
